Job Description
As a Registered Nurse on our Level III NICU in Overland Park, KS you will provide care primarily for NICU patients, but may float over to Labor and Delivery, Mom Baby, and post GYN Surgical Care to assist as needed. This is a great opportunity to expand your skills. Experience in all of these areas is not necessary. This position will give you a lot of variety in your work and the opportunity to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
This team has 24 hour coverage by a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider. This group provides a lot of teamwork, support, and collaboration to one another. The physicians and Advanced Practice Providers for this unit are engaged, supportive and are passionate about knowledge sharing. This position will provide you with a variety of education, training, and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
